As a

Safety Assurance Business Partner , you will be an inspiring safety leader who will directly lead and manage the work of the safety assurance team. You will provide leadership in relentlessly developing industry and driving a culture of improvement within the business. This will involve leading the business to identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance with standards. You will develop and implement tools to effectively audit, monitor and review safety performance in relation to building safety, fire safety and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively identify and manage potential hazards and risks within the businessDevelopment and implementation of risk mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate identified hazards.Advise the business on and set in place processes to adherence to relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practicesMonitor and review safety management systems to ensure their effectiveness and continuous improvement, implementing improvements where requiredPromote and develop a strong safety culture within the business working closely with the senior leadership teamOversee the provision and effectiveness of safety training and education to employeesEnsure major risks and safety incidents are reported and investigated to determine root causes and prevent recurrence by sharing learningEnsure a suitable audit programme is in place to identify potential hazards and ensure complianceEnsure key safety information is effectively communicated and share concerns with relevant stakeholdersCollaborate with all key stakeholders to address safety issuesContinuously look for areas for improvement in safety performance and work with business leaders to implement any necessary changes.Continuously horizon scan and stay up to date on the latest and up-coming safety agendaBe accountable to produce quality performance data, analysis and recommendations for the businessSet up and maintain governance processesBuild positive and open relationships with key stakeholders both inside and outside of the businessLead, mentor and coach the assurance team to develop and deliver clear improvement plansRequired Skills and Qualifications:

Experience of a health and safety leadership role in the residential built environment sectorExperience in a HandS leadership role in medium to large sized organisationAble to develop and drive the implementation of health and safety strategies in collaboration with leadership teamsExperience of leading and inspiring health and safety teamsExpert in providing critical management information and giving high quality analysisAble to build and implement performance management and assurance controlsExperience of running high level audit programmesAble to create simplicity out of complexity, an expert in shaping and delivering key messages to business leadersA proven agent of changeWhat''s in it for you?
