The role is to oversee the management, monitoring, and continuous improvement of safety, environmental, and compliance systems on site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational excellence, adherence to environmental permits, and the ongoing development of a safe and compliant workplace.Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor safety systems, procedures, and safe systems of work across the facility. Ensure full compliance with environmental permits and regulatory licences. Interpret emissions data and develop associated working plans. Lead on internal auditing, compliance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Implement policies and procedures to maintain a highly compliant, quality-driven environment where safety is prioritised. Manage and maintain risk assessments, SSOW, and method statements to prevent incidents and uphold best practice. Work closely with the Plant Manager and wider site team to maintain high productivity while ensuring uncompromising standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Support cultural development across the site, embedding a strong safety-first mindset.
