Safety Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join a major Tier 1 contractor supporting the delivery of water and civil engineering projects across the Dundee area. The successful candidate will provide professional health and safety advice across live water infrastructure and civils works, working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and the wider SHEQ function to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with all relevant legislation and company standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Safety Advisor with a strong background in water, utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure projects, who is confident working in a site-based environment and can positively influence safety performance across multiple levels of the project team. Responsibilities Provide competent health and safety advice and guidance to project management, engineers, supervisors and site operatives. Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety tours across water and civil engineering works. Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, project procedures and client requirements. Review and advise on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure safe systems of work are implemented. Support the delivery of water infrastructure and civils activities, including excavation, earthworks, pipework, utilities, reinstatement and associated construction operations.
