Safeguarding Officer Location: Rotherham Contract: Temporary (Until December) Hours: Full-Time Salary: Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE) Sector: Education About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safeguarding Officer to join a well-established educational provider in Rotherham on a temporary basis until December. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced safeguarding professional who is passionate about promoting the welfare, safety, and wellbeing of learners. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the organisation''s safeguarding responsibilities, ensuring that learners are protected and that safeguarding procedures are implemented effectively and consistently. Key Responsibilities Act as a point of contact for safeguarding and welfare concerns across the organisation. Support the identification, assessment, and management of safeguarding concerns and referrals. Liaise with learners, parents/carers, staff, and external agencies to ensure appropriate support is provided. Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date safeguarding records in line with organisational policies and statutory requirements. Support investigations and safeguarding interventions where required. Monitor learner attendance, wellbeing, and engagement, raising concerns where appropriate. Assist with safeguarding training and awareness activities for staff and learners.
