Safeguarding Manager/Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Maternity Cover November 2026 About Us: South Lincolnshire Academies Trust has over 550 teaching and support staff working in the four schools (Bourne Academy, Spalding Academy, Giles Academy and Cowley Academy) that make up our highly successful Trust. We are seeking to appoint an experienced, committed and highly organised Safeguarding Manager / Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to join our dedicated safeguarding team for maternity cover at Cowley Academy. This is a pivotal role responsible for supporting the school''s safeguarding and child protection arrangements, ensuring that students are safe, supported and able to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, senior leaders, external agencies and families to promote a culture where safeguarding is everyone''s responsibility. The postholder will act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing safeguarding concerns, coordinating interventions, maintaining accurate records and contributing to the strategic development of safeguarding practice across the school. The successful candidate will have: Essential: Experience of safeguarding and child protection work with children or young people. Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education.
