RPG Developer - Banking An exciting opportunity opens for and RPG Developer to join a leading international Bank as they redevelop their Core Banking system. The successful candidate will work on critical core banking systems within a highly established financial institution and contribute to a long-standing and business-critical technology estate. Key Responsonsibilites Translate business and technical requirements into clear development solutions and user stories. Design, develop and maintain RPG applications in line with established development standards and processes. Deliver well-structured, reliable and maintainable code, with a strong focus on quality and testing. Investigate application issues, diagnose defects and implement effective solutions. Develop a strong understanding of business processes and how they are supported by the core banking application. Work collaboratively with other developers, architects and IT specialists to define and deliver new functionality for UKBR development Develop technical documents and instructions to accurately represent application design and code Relevant Experience Strong commercial experience as an RPG Developer, ideally within banking or financial services Strong knowledge of both fixed-format and free-format RPG Experience developing SQL, including standalone SQL and SQL Embedded within RPG applications Modern coding techniques eg modules, service programs, activation groups etc. Understanding of modern IBM i development ..... full job details .....
