ROV Tooling Technician

Our client, a leader in the renewables sector, is currently seeking an ROV Tooling Technician to join their busy team in Kintore, Aberdeenshire. This permanent role offers a hands-on problem-solver the chance to work with cutting-edge offshore technology and make a significant impact in the industry.Key Responsibilities:Inspecting, maintaining, testing, and repairing a wide range of ROV tooling and associated equipmentCommissioning new tooling systems and supporting bespoke tooling builds from assembly through to testingPreparing tooling packages for offshore mobilisation, ensuring all equipment is certified, operational, and deployment-readyDiagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electro-hydraulic systemsSupporting mobilisations, site interface testing, and commissioning activities when requiredManaging equipment records, work orders, and inventory to maintain operational readiness and traceabilityJob Requirements:Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent industry experienceProven experience maintaining, inspecting, testing, and repairing ROV tooling equipmentStrong knowledge of ROV tooling systems, including torque tools, valve packs, cutters, LAOTs, and IHPUsSound understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose faults and interpret schematicsAbility to read and work from engineering drawings and technical documentationStrong problem-solving skills with a ..... full job details .....
