Rough Sleeper Support Worker

4Recruitment Services are seeking a Rough Sleeper Support Worker to work for our client based in Walsall.Main purpose of the role: The post holder will support vulnerable homeless adults. Reducing repeat homelessness by supporting vulnerable adults, homeless people, former rough sleepers, offenders, and those with complex needs who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The postholder will assist service users in developing, utilising, and enhancing both new and existing skills, knowledge, and confidence to break the cycle of homelessness, prevent its recurrence, and support sustained independent living. The post holder should be committed to supporting vulnerable service users as needed and must have a valid driving licence with access to a vehicle for work use. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Complete outreach throughout the Walsall borough to locate rough sleepers, and follow up on all referrals received by the team.To undertake holistic risk and needs assessments and to develop support and risk management plans.To support service users in enhancing their life skills by designing and implementing life and social skills programs within both individual and group work environments.To support and encourage service users to engage with learning skills and work.To support and encourage service users to develop positive family and other support networks.To assist service users to identify and take up settled accommodation and to continue to provide ongoing support to ..... full job details .....
