Room Leader (Maternity Cover)

Overview

A friendly and well-established nursery in Worthing, West Sussex, is seeking a room leader to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role and support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality early years education. Location: Worthing, West Sussex. Hours: Full-Time (Shift pattern: 7:30am-4:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm). Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications). Contract: Maternity Cover - Fixed Term.Responsibilities

Lead a room team to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environmentPlan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFSSupport children’s development through observation, assessment, and tailored learningBuild strong relationships with children, families, and colleaguesMaintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeingWhat we’re looking for

Level 3

(or above) qualification in Early Years Education or ChildcarePrevious experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a leadership roleStrong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding proceduresExcellent communication and organisational skillsA warm, proactive, and team-focused approachWhat we offer
