Room Leader (Maternity Cover)

Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Hours: Full-Time (Shift pattern: 7:30am-4:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm)
Pay: -14.0018.00 per hour (depending on experience & qualifications)
Contract: Maternity Cover - Fixed Term

A friendly and well-established nursery in Worthing is seeking a room leader to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role and support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality early years education.

About the role:

• Lead a room team to provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment
• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS
• Support children''s development through observation, assessment, and tailored learning
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and wellbeing

What we''re looking for:

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare
• Previous experience in a nursery setting, ideally in a leadership role
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A warm, proactive, and team-focused approach
