Duties to include: Tiling and Stripping roofs Inspecting roofs to assess damage, leaks, or needed repairs. Removing old roofing materials such as shingles, tiles, metal panels, or membranes. Measuring roofs and calculating material requirements. Installing roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, slate, metal roofing, and flat-roof membranes. Installing waterproofing layers, insulation, flashing, gutters, and roof ventilation systems. Repairing damaged roofs and replacing defective materials. Sealing roof penetrations around chimneys, vents, skylights, and other openings. Using hand and power tools safely and effectively. Working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and fall-protection equipment. Following building codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
