Roofer

A new opportunity has arisen to work for a housing provider as a Roofer on a temp-to-perm basis. We are looking for experienced roofers to carry out planned and reactive roofing repairs across South West London.
Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality roofing maintenance, repairs, and installation works within occupied and void social housing properties. The role involves travel between properties, covering designated postcode areas across London, with a focus on delivering safe, efficient, and high-standard roofing works.
Pay Rate:

• -23.50 per hour (Umbrella) - Temporary
• -38,000 per annum - Permanent

Requirement: Successful candidates will be subject to a Basic DBS Check.
Duties Include

• Carrying out planned and reactive roofing repairs within social housing properties.
• Completing roof inspections to identify defects and maintenance requirements.
• Repairing and replacing tiles, slates, felt, leadwork, flashing, and other roofing materials.
• Diagnosing roofing faults and carrying out effective remedial repairs.
• Applying weatherproofing systems and ensuring roofs remain watertight.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Delivering excellent customer service when working in occupied homes.
• Using PDA/mobile devices to manage and complete work orders.
• Maintaining accurate records of completed works and materials used.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.

Skills Required

• Proven roofing experience within social housing, maintenance, or construction.
• Strong knowledge of pitched and flat roofing systems.
• Experience carrying out roofing repairs, renewals, and installations.
• Ability to identify defects and carry out suitable repairs.
• Experience working with tiles, slates, leadwork, felt roofing, and flashing.
• Ability to work safely at height and in varying weather conditions.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
