Rolling Stock Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our business for an experienced Maintenance Technician (Mech/Elec) to be based at our Leeds Maintenance Facility.Reporting to the Shift Team Leader / Production Manager, the successful applicant will join the Maintenance and Repairs Team at our Depot in Leeds and will assist with the day-to-day Maintenance and Repair of our busy Freight Locomotive Fleet.Working as part of a busy 9-man team, you will operate on a 4 on 4off shift pattern in undertaking planned maintenance and repair of our Locomotives coming in for major repairs, maintenance and overhaulWorking days and nights (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off) start and finish times are 7 till 7 averaging a 39-hour week over the course of the yearImmediate and/or flexible starts for interested partiesStarting salary:Over £47k pa plus overtime at enhanced ratesOpportunities to earn up to £1500.00 per unit for accomplishing up to 9 technical modulesExcellent Benefits PackageKey Responsibilities include:Ensure that company engineering standards and procedures are applied and followed, under the post holder''s area of control to ensure that the traction and rolling stock meet the provisions of statutory Railway Group Standards and Codes of Practice.The post holder has a general duty to ensure that there is no harm to employees.
