JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Locomotive FitterBusiness: Rolling Stock Maintenance Location: Leeds Safety Critical: Yes Reports To: Engineering Depot Supervisor Purpose of Job Multiple opportunities are available to include: General maintenance and repair of Locomotives Heavy Maintenance, full Locomotive strip, fault find and repair, rebuild, test and return to service General maintenance and repair of bogies ETCS mods installation and test Each area of the business presents an exciting opportunity for interested parties to successfully transfer to Rolling Stock Maintenance opportunities with excellent potential for growth and future promotion Dimensions of the Job Financial No direct financial authority but has vital influence on company expenditure through the effective maintenance of traction and rolling stock. Staff responsibilities None Physical Principal Safety Accountabilities Mainline Locomotives Ensure that company engineering standards and procedures are applied and followed, under the post holder''s area of control to ensure that the traction and rolling stock meet the provisions of statutory Railway Group Standards and Codes of Practice. The post holder has a general duty to ensure that there is no harm to employees. Contractors, customers or the public.
