Robotics and Production Engineer

We are supporting a pioneering AI and autonomous vehicle technology organisation seeking an experienced Senior C++ Robotics Software Engineer to join a high-profile automotive programme. Working on next-generation autonomous driving technology, you will help transform advanced robotics software from research-grade code into production-ready automotive libraries.This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and writing high-quality C++ software that meets the standards required for deployment in production vehicle platforms.The RoleYou will play a key role in developing and productionising core robotics libraries that underpin localisation, odometry, state estimation and sensor fusion capabilities for a major global automotive manufacturer.Working closely with robotics and software engineering teams, you will evaluate existing algorithms and libraries, improve their quality and maintainability, and ensure they meet the rigorous standards expected of production automotive software.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and productionise high-performance C++ robotics libraries for automotive systems.Support localisation, odometry and state estimation software for next-generation autonomous vehicle programmes.Refactor research and prototype code into robust, production-ready software.Evaluate existing algorithms and determine whether they should be reused, redesigned, wrapped or replaced.Improve software robustness, scalability, ..... full job details .....
