Road Freight Forwarder - Lichfield - Up to -30,000

Our client is seeking a Road Freight Forwarder to join a well-established international logistics company in Lichfield. This role focuses on managing customer accounts and handling the full life cycle of road freight imports and exports, with a particular emphasis on groupage services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage road freight operations across import and export shipments.
• Handle both FTL and groupage consignments.
• Provide accurate spot quotes to customers and win new business.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Deliver excellent customer service at all stages of the shipment cycle.
• Liaise with partners and subcontractors, negotiating rates as needed.
• Ensure shipments are delivered on time and to customer expectations.
• Contribute to achieving KPI targets.
• Promote the company''s brand and values through professional service delivery.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years'' experience in road freight forwarding for a UK based forwarder
• Strong knowledge of the Irish road freight market, post-Brexit (essential).
• Experience in both imports and exports.
• Previous work with subcontractors, carriers, and logistics partners.
• Ability to prepare competitive quotations.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Positive, proactive, and customer-focused attitude.
