About the Role

This permanent Risk Co-ordinator position sits with a well-established finance and insurance business near the M65 in Blackburn. The post-holder supports credit risk management, covering underwriting oversight, portfolio monitoring and governance. Day-to-day duties include tracking large exposures, completing annual credit reviews and in-life asset audits across a varied lending book. The role also involves preparing audit packs, assisting review work and co-ordinating remediation actions. Applicants must bring at least one year's experience within insurance, financial services, asset finance or factoring; this requirement is essential. Hybrid working allows two days each week from home, with the remainder spent on site in Blackburn. Strong organisational, analytical and communication abilities are needed.

RK Accountancy are working with a well established finance / insurance company just off the M65 motorway junction, who are recruiting for a Risk Co-ordinator role.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 years experience in insurance, financial services or asset finance/ factoring. Please note this is essential for this Risk Co-ordinator role.

Experience you will gain:-

andbull; Exposure to credit risk management, including underwriting oversight, portfolio monitoring, and governance processes

andbull; Hands-on experience in monitoring large exposures, annual credit reviews, and in-life asset audits across a diverse lending portfolio

andbull; Practical experience preparing audit packs, supporting audit reviews, and coordinating remediation actions arising from audit findings

andbull; Insight into regulatory and internal credit policy frameworks, with exposure to how policies are applied in a live business environment

andbull; Exposure to governance and escalation processes, developing confidence in identifying and communicating adverse risk trends

andbull; Increased understanding portfolio performance driversandnbsp;

andbull; Experience of Companies House, Experian Alerts, and undertaking Adverse media checks

andbull; Understanding the credit policy

Provide support to the In Life Risk andamp; Portfolio Manager, asandnbsp; required

Please note, you will be involved in processing andamp; completing complex admin tasks, but training and support will be given.

An understanding of the financial services sector and money laundering regulations would be very helpful for this opportunity.
