Risk and Compliance Officer

Risk and Compliance Officer negotiable Bromley (BR1) hybrid working A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Risk and Compliance Officer (or Junior Risk and Compliance Officer, depending on experience) to join its growing team in Bromley. Working closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting the firm''s regulatory and risk management framework, ensuring compliance with SRA requirements and best practice across the business. Key responsibilities include: Responding to compliance queries relating to AML, source of funds, GDPR and client onboarding. Conducting AML, source of funds and source of wealth file audits. Drafting, reviewing and maintaining risk and compliance policies and procedures. Supporting Lexcel, CQS and other regulatory accreditations and audits. Carrying out AML and conflict checks where required. Assisting with professional indemnity claims, complaints and related reporting. Maintaining key compliance registers, including claims, complaints, GDPR and conflicts. Delivering risk and compliance training for new joiners. Assisting with regulatory reporting, practising certificate renewals and firm-wide compliance projects. Monitoring regulatory developments and supporting the continuous improvement of compliance processes. The successful candidate will have: Previous risk and compliance experience within a law firm.
