This role will cover a wide range of risk and compliance responsibilities, supporting the firm in ensuring best practice and regulatory compliance across multiple areas.Key Responsibilities of the Risk and Compliance Manager

Assist with responses to complaints, SRA enquiries, DSARs, and investigationsSupport with suspicious activity reports and sanctions issuesDraft, implement, and maintain policies and retainer documentsDevelop and deliver training, including induction for new joinersCreate and implement project plans; manage file auditsPrepare reports, assessments, and registersAssist with client due diligence and operational issues on client mattersAttend and present at meetings; signpost to relevant individuals and agenciesKeep up to date with AML, data protection, sanctions and SRA regulationsRequirements of the Risk and Compliance Manager

5+ years’ experience in a risk and compliance role within a Top 500 law firmStrong knowledge of AML, counter-terrorist financing, data protection, sanctions and SRA Standards and RegulationsExcellent drafting, communication, and attention to detailSelf-motivated, organised, and able to work under pressureCommercial, practical approach with flexibility and ambitionStrong IT skills and ability to grasp complex issues quicklyTeam player who works effectively with colleagues at all levelsThe Benefits
