Risk and Compliance Manager

Our client, an established professional services company, is currently recruiting a Risk and Compliance Manager to join their Compliance team. The Risk and Compliance Manager will be responsible for working alongside the Head of Risk to promote a robust compliance culture across the firm, providing expert advice to key stakeholders on industry regulations, and managing professional conduct matters and claims,

Key Responsibilities for the Risk and Compliance Manager:

• Advising internal teams on professional conduct, conflicts of interest, ethics, and industry standards.
• Managing actual and potential claims, conducting internal investigations, and collaborating with professional indemnity insurers.
• Conducting compliance audits across different business groups and coordinating external quality accreditations.
• Tracking upcoming legislative and regulatory developments and coordinating their implementation across the firm.
• Directly supervising and helping to develop a junior Risk and Compliance Assistant.

Skills Required for the Risk and Compliance Manager:

• Strong communication skills, including clear and effective written and verbal communication, with the ability to present complex subjects in accessible terms to stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven mid-to-senior-level experience handling risk and governance within a regulated professional services environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the confidence to build trusted advisory relationships with senior leadership
