Risk and Compliance Lawyer

They are seeking a senior lawyer to support their Head of Risk and Compliance in maintaining and promoting the highest standards of legal, regulatory, and ethical compliance In this role, you will act as a senior adviser on a wide range of risk and compliance issues, deliver prompt and pragmatic advice to lawyers and senior stakeholders, supervise and mentor junior team members, and play a lead role in shaping strategic risk and compliance projects. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice on anti-money laundering (AML), conflicts of interest, supplier risk, client engagement letters/terms of business, and professional conduct. Advise on data protection matters within the function, including managing breaches, conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments and Legitimate Interests Assessments and assessing regulatory requirements. Advise on emerging regulatory issues, including AI, and help develop team processes and ways of working using AI tools. Conduct risk and compliance assessments of prospective suppliers (due diligence and contract reviews) and contribute to the firm s file audit programme.
