Grounds Maintenance Operative (Ride-On Mower) Location: Cheadle Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:15am 4:21pm About the RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading waste management company for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to help maintain public spaces in Bruntwood Park. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in outdoor work and enjoys keeping environments clean, safe, and visually appealing.Key Responsibilities Operate a John Deere 1580 ride-on mower (or similar equipment) to maintain grass verges and open spacesCarry out daily equipment checks and basic maintenanceEnsure all machinery is used safely and in line with company proceduresFollow scheduled mowing plans and complete work to a high standardMaintain cleanliness and presentation of public areas Requirements Full, valid driving licence (minimum B1)Proven experience operating ride-on mowers (golf course or similar environments preferred, e.g. triple mowers)Good local knowledge of Stockport and surrounding areas is advantageousAbility to work independently and manage workload effectivelyReliable, punctual, and safety-conscious What s on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £13.68Opportunity to work outdoors in a hands-on roleJoin a reputable and established organisation If you re someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high standards, we d love to hear from you.
