Farrington Care Homes is looking for a registered RGN to join our group of Care and Nursing homes.To join us as a

Registered Nurse

you’ll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification. A strong, up-to-date clinical knowledge is important, as is a good understanding of key regulatory frameworks, including the safe administration of medicines; we’ll also look for a successful track record of producing care plans and detailed risk assessments. Dedicated and ambitious, you’ll be able to lead by example – you can-do approach and excellent communication skills will motivate the teams in each Farrington care home you work withResponsibilities

Provide care to patients and residents based on their care plan outlined by their doctorAccurately monitor and record observations on patients'' conditionsMaintain accurate records of residents care, financial procedures, and medication administrationIdentify care planning needsCarry out risk assessmentRecord patients'' vital signs and medical informationRevaluate patient care plan as conditions changeConsult and coordinate with other healthcare team membersDirect or supervise less experienced nursing staffMonitor patients'' diet and exercisePrepare patients and assist with treatments, surgery, or exams as neededManage stocks of suppliesEnsure storage and disposal of medication is carried out according to policyParticipate in clinical improvements and offer ideas on clinical and non-clinical policiesAssist with the investigation of complaints by patients or family membersMaintain continuing education and licensing requirementsReport any issues that arose during each shiftSkills and Qualifications

Current Registration With the NMC; IV Skills, Including Syringe Driver Training and Venepuncture TrainingAt Least 1 Year Nursing Experience; Experience Recording Accurate RecordsAbility to Work as Part of a Team; Supportive and Motivated Great Communication Skills; Mentorship Skills; Computer LiterateAbility to Cope in a CrisisAbility to Demonstrate Ethical Values and Ongoing Professional and Personal GrowthAbility to Work on Feet for Long Periods of TimeAdditionally, we are offering an opportunity for individuals who wish to work independently as self-employed.
