A Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and healthcare regulations. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while promoting health, wellbeing, dignity, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Assess patients'' physical, psychological, and social needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor patients'' conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Perform clinical procedures in line with professional standards and policies.
Patient Support
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care.
- Support patients and families with information and emotional assistance.
- Promote patient independence, dignity, and choice.
- Advocate for patients'' rights and wellbeing.
Communication & Collaboration
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Liaise with doctors, allied health professionals, carers, and family members.
- Participate in handovers and clinical meetings.
- Escalate concerns regarding patient safety promptly.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to NMC standards, safeguarding procedures, and infection prevention protocols.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Report incidents, accidents, and concerns through appropriate channels.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with GDPR and organisational policies.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification.
- Current NMC Registration.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.
- Up-to-date mandatory training and clinical competencies.
- Enhanced DBS check (where required).
- Previous nursing experience in hospital, community, care home, or specialist settings is desirable.
