As an adaptable member of the team, you will dive into high-acuity environments including Majors, Minors, and CDU, delivering expert care through:

• Acute Interventions: Rapid triage, Resus support, IV therapy, cannulation, and advanced wound care.

• Vigilant Monitoring: Continuous vital sign tracking using NEWS2 protocols with the confidence to escalate deteriorating patients immediately.

• Trauma Support: Assisting with complex, life-altering cases within the Major Trauma Centre framework.

We need nurses who can hit the ground running and manage the "big picture":

• Flow & Coordination: Seamlessly managing patient flow, conducting crisp SBAR handovers, and leading multidisciplinary discharge planning.

• Safety & Governance: Maintaining meticulous digital records, utilizing Datix for incident reporting, and upholding gold-standard infection control.

• Human Connection: Providing calm, compassionate communication to families in crisis and acting as a mentor to junior staff and students.

• NMC Registration: Valid Band 5 status.

• Versatility: Proven experience across multiple specialties.

• Technical Proficiency: Confident in cannulation, venepuncture, and acute clinical assessment.

• Resilience: The ability to adapt to new ward cultures and fast-paced environments quickly.
