RF / Microwave Technician - ContractorLocation: StevenageContract: 3 months initially with permanancy offered depending on performanceWorking Pattern: Fully onsiteHours: 39 hours per weekIR35 Status: Outside IR35Rate: 25- 40 per hour, depending on experienceRole OverviewWe are looking for an experienced RF / Microwave Technician to provide immediate contractor support to an engineering team in Stevenage.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct RF and microwave testingPerform filter testing and characterisation using appropriate RF/microwave test equipment.Work with and interpret VNA (Vector Network Analyser) measurements and results.Apply knowledge of switching speeds and associated RF/electronic test requirements.Set up, execute and document test activities in accordance with engineering requirements.Identify, investigate and resolve test issues and anomalies.Work from engineering documentation, schematics, drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Maintain accurate test records and technical documentation.Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to support ongoing programme requirements.Undertake high-grade soldering and rework activities where required.Essential ExperienceExperience with VNAsPractical experience of filter testingFamiliarity with switching speed and related electronic/RF test considerations.Practical laboratory/test engineering experience within an electronics, RF, microwave or high-reliability environment.Valid soldering certification.Experience working with ..... full job details .....
