Overview

Our client is a design-orientated, award-winning studio of around 50 people, based in central London, and working across sectors including workplace, fit-out, residential, public realm and mixed-use. They are currently hiring a BIM technician to support their BIM manager in the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the digital construction procedures at the design, construction, and handover stages of projects. You will have a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and implement your knowledge across the practice. This position would suit a hard-working individual who thrives in a dynamic, positive, multidisciplinary team environment. The role will be full-time and forms part of the architectural team. You will report to the BIM manager with additional responsibilities and management from the project leaders.Responsibilities

managing digital files and supporting the BIM manager with the creation of design documentationstay informed on best practices for use of Revit, BIM and other BIM related softwareinstallation and support of BIM software alongside the BIM managersupport the BIM manager with the creation of software template files to assure BG BIM standards are implemented and maintainedhelp resolve BIM related design and modelling issuesprovide quality control of all drawings produced alongside the BIM managertraining or upskilling of junior members of the team in specific software programmesgenerating content for the firm to use, i.e., Revit Families creationkeeping up-to-date with advancements in building technology, AI and generative designcontributing to clash detection and coordination meetings to identify and resolve project issues with a design teamSkills and qualifications

HNC/HND (or higher) in a construction-based subjectminimum of three years’ experienceextensive experience in design, drafting and coordinationknowledge of current BIM softwarestrong written and verbal communication skillsRevit based exam qualificationextensive knowledge of Autodesk Revit is essential, and ideally Navisworks and ACC tooworking knowledge of AutoCAD, Enscape, InDesign and/or RhinoAttributes

ability to use own initiative and work as a teamexcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills both verbal and writtengreat attention to detail and problem-solving skillsability to organise your time and workloadbe flexible and open to changeIT and software

highly IT literateexcellent knowledge of BIM and Revit softwareexcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365good knowledge of AutoCAD software and the Practice CAD Manualgood knowledge of graphic presentations (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator etc)Benefits
