Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will be experienced as a Reservations Manager and as a Rooms Revenue Manager.andnbsp; There is no Mandamp;E or Groups within the role and so you must have excellent knowledge on the rooms side.andnbsp; This is a large and very busy hotel and so you must be ready and experienced in an equally busy role and thrive off it.andnbsp; As Revenue Manager you will be responsible for setting the strategies to grow the business and deliver the hotelandrsquo;s budget, through effective pricing and inventory controls, conversion of all enquiries and proactive selling, using the agreed company systems to maximise revenue and meet budgeted hotel targets.andnbsp; You will understand what customers value, working with Sales, Marketing and the brand to manage value perception.
The Revenue Manager will manage the Reservations Office to ensure the effective distribution and timely completion of the workload, and the training and development of the teams and so prior experience of this is essential. You will grow RGI year on year, stealing market share from competitors when profitable to do so.
Revenue Manager responsibilities
- Drive market share and revenue performance by managing inventory combined with setting the pricing and selling strategies for all market segments across the various distribution channels, using market data where available.
- Work with the Commercial Manager to understand periods where the hotel will be reliant on non-event demand and devise pricing strategies to drive Rooms performance during those periods
- Deputize for the Commercial Manager as required.
- Carry out analysis of the business as required, including pick-up and lead times, refused and denied business, sources of business, trends and patterns in market segmentation, as well as understanding the competitor landscape and wider market trends, to ensure pricing strategies reflect changing (actual or anticipated) market demand.
- Work with the Commercial Manager andamp; Sales to devise promotions to generate business at key times in accordance with demand levels.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure website content is optimized to increase conversion.
- Manage the PMS system to ensure room types and rate plans are in line with rate setting objectives.
- Manage the Reservations Office team, including setting objectives, carrying out performance reviews and coaching team members.
- Create and nurture a team-focused environment, which promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the hotel, ensuring all team members are fully briefed on hotel performance, business and industry updates through department meetings.
