We''re recruiting for a Retail Supervisor to join an exciting new sportswear and fashion pop-up store in Portsmouth.

This is a 4-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent opportunity as the business continues to grow.

We''re looking for an experienced Retail Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Sales Assistant or experienced Sales Assistant who enjoys leading from the front and wants to play an important role in a new store opening.

The Role

As Retail Supervisor, you''ll support the management team on the shop floor, helping to drive sales, deliver excellent customer service and ensure the store operates to a high standard.

You''ll be responsible for:

• Supervising and supporting the retail team on the shop floor

• Leading by example and helping the team achieve sales targets and KPIs

• Delivering an excellent customer experience

• Coaching and motivating team members

• Supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with the day-to-day running of the store

• Maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation

• Supporting stock deliveries, replenishment and stock management

• Assisting with opening and closing procedures

• Taking ownership of the shop floor and maintaining strong retail standards

• Supporting wider store operations when required

About You

We''re looking for a customer-focused and commercially minded retail professional who is confident supervising a team and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

You''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Retail Supervisor, Supervisor, Team Leader, Senior Sales Assistant or similar

• Experience leading or supervising a retail team

• Experience working towards sales targets and retail KPIs

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Good commercial awareness

• Experience with stock management and day-to-day retail operations

• A hands-on approach and the confidence to lead from the front

• An interest in sportswear, fashion, fitness or performance retail

This role would suit an experienced Retail Supervisor looking for a new challenge, or a Senior Sales Assistant or Team Leader ready to take the next step in their retail career.
