Restructuring & Insolvency Solicitor

JMW’s Restructuring and Insolvency team in Manchester has an opportunity for a junior solicitor (minimum 1 PQE) to join a busy and well-regarded team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate their ability to undertake contentious insolvency work, primarily acting for insolvency office-holders on antecedent transaction and breach of duty claims under the Insolvency Act 1986 and Companies Act 2006.

The DepartmentThe team at JMW offers practical, specialist advice to insolvency practitioners, businesses, individuals, directors, banks, and asset-based lenders, in both contentious and non-contentious areas of restructuring and insolvency. The team prides itself on providing clear and concise legal advice tailored to clients'' unique needs.
The team advises insolvency practitioners, lenders, litigation funders, borrowers, directors, distressed investors, and other stakeholders on their rights and obligations in transactional and contentious work across all areas of corporate and personal insolvency.
Work includes transactional matters (pre-packs, administrations, CVAs, restructuring plans, cross-border restructurings), contentious actions (against or defending former directors and antecedent transactions under the Insolvency Act 1986), enforcement, and general advisory work.
