TP Select is recruiting for an experienced Property Damage Restoration Technician to join an established restoration team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Damage Restoration Technician, Restoration Technician or experienced Water Damage Technician with knowledge of property damage restoration, moisture surveys and drying techniques.

Key Responsibilities

As a Property Damage Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Attending new domestic and commercial property damage restoration jobs allocated by the dispatch and management teams.

  • Assessing water, fire and accidental damage and identifying the appropriate restoration solution.

  • Carrying out detailed moisture surveys and implementing appropriate drying techniques.

  • Preparing restoration equipment for use and ensuring all instruments are correctly calibrated.

  • Liaising with customers, loss adjusters, builders, insurance companies and policyholders throughout the restoration process.

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within the local area.

  • Ensuring all work complies with company, quality, Health & Safety and operational procedures.

  • Maintaining accurate live-time reports and regularly updating live jobs.

  • Maintaining visit logs to monitor ongoing restoration work and manage future bookings effectively.

  • Ensuring company vehicles are clean, fully equipped and maintained in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

  • Organising and supervising subcontractors, additional technicians and agency labour when required.

  • Applying appropriate water, fire and accidental damage restoration techniques to achieve successful outcomes.

  • Monitoring project costs and demonstrating an understanding of Profit & Loss and cost control.

  • Maintaining awareness of competitors, company services and developments within the property restoration sector.

  • Maintaining high standards of customer service and achieving agreed service levels, performance targets and customer satisfaction.

About You

The successful Property Damage Restoration Technician will have:

  • Previous experience in property damage restoration or a related technical role.

  • Practical knowledge of water, fire and accidental damage restoration.

  • Experience carrying out moisture surveys and drying procedures.

  • Good building knowledge, including an understanding of mould and bacteria.

  • Knowledge of psychrometrics would be advantageous.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • The ability to identify additional business opportunities and upselling opportunities.

  • A practical, lateral-thinking approach to problem solving.

  • GCSE-level English and Mathematics or equivalent.

  • A BDMA Technician qualification would be desirable.
