Workforce Planner / Scheduling Administrator / Resource Planner - Permanent Position £40k
A leading production facility is seeking a Workforce Planner to join its operational team.
Reporting to the Process Production Manager, you would be responsible for leading the workforce planning, being responsible for site delivery of the production plan as well as the daily workforce requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead labour planning for the production facility, managing the delivery of workforce requirements to meet the site’s operational targets.
- Develop and standardize labour planning and reporting tools across the facility.
- Ensure labour plans accurately reflect business needs and help optimize workforce deployment.
- Model and analyse working patterns, holidays, and annualized hours to support operational planning.
- Foster strong relationships with temporary labour providers, lead meeting routines, ensure accuracy in reporting and financials, and manage purchase orders and invoicing for labour costs.
- Maintain and optimize annual rotas, tracking and calculating year-end annualized hours.
- Analyse financial performance versus budget, providing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Extract and interpret manufacturing-related data for analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement and offering practical solutions.
- Maintain and report on the Power BI Labour Dashboard and help develop and administer the Labour Management System (DLM).

- Organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail.
- Personable, a natural networker, and able to build productive relationships across multiple functions and levels.
- Experienced in workforce / labour planning or similar role within an operational environment.
- Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Power BI, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Capable of making sound, timely decisions while maintaining a broad overview of business priorities.
