6:30am - 2:30pm (Mon-Thu)

6:30am - 2:00pm (Fri)

About the role

We are recruiting Field-Based Resource Advisors to support Belfast City Council''s Waste Management Service.

This is a frontline, community-based role focused on improving recycling behaviours, supporting environmental initiatives, and engaging directly with residents and businesses across Belfast.

Key duties

• Field-based door-to-door engagement with households and businesses
• Providing waste and recycling advice and education
• Supporting environmental awareness campaigns and recycling schemes
• Carrying out surveys, data collection, and reporting using handheld devices
• Undertaking communal site assessments and follow-up actions
• Supporting customer enquiries and service improvements
• Driving Council vehicles as required

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential for all posts)
• Experience in a public-facing/customer service role
• Comfortable working in a field-based, outdoor environment
• Strong communication and data recording skills
• Ability to manage challenging conversations professionally
