About the Role Our client is a specialist children''s residential care provider offering high-quality, trauma-informed care and support to children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and additional needs. They are looking for a compassionate, resilient and reliable Residential Support Worker to join a brand-new children''s residential home in Cheltenham. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about residential childcare and wants to make a positive difference to the lives of young people, helping them feel safe, supported and able to develop independence. Key Responsibilities Build positive, trusting and professional relationships with children and young people. Provide day-to-day care, support and supervision within a children''s residential setting. Support young people with routines, education, activities, appointments and life skills. Act as a positive role model and promote independence, confidence and emotional development. Provide trauma-informed care and use Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches. Support young people who may display challenging behaviour or have complex emotional and behavioural needs.
