Full time (37 hours) The post is Grade F (scale points £27,254 - £28,142) and will move to a Grade G once have QCF level 4 is completed. DBS Required The ideal candidate will: • Understand neurodiversity and trauma-informed practice, using approaches that are sensitive to each child s emotional and developmental needs. • Be trained in PRICE (Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment), with the ability to use de-escalation and physical intervention techniques safely and appropriately. • Create a low-arousal, structured environment that promotes emotional regulation, safety, and routine. • Use clear, simplified communication, visual aids, and collaborative problem-solving to support children s understanding and engagement. • Build trusting relationships through empathy, consistency, and attuned responses. • Work as part of a therapeutic team, contributing to care planning, safeguarding, and reflective practice. • Have experience working in residential children s homes. • Have the Right to Work in the UK.
