Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home – Up to £35,000 (Negotiable)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 (DOE)
Hours: Full-Time | Permanent
Are you an experienced care professional looking to step up into a leadership role? Amber Mace is proud to be recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established, 50-bedded residential care home. This home is dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centred care for older adults in a warm and supportive environment.
We’re seeking a proactive and confident leader who can support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the service, staff management, and ensuring compliance with CQC standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with residential care home experience who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Home Manager with the overall management of the home
• Lead by example and ensure high-quality care is consistently delivered
• Supervise and mentor care staff, including conducting supervisions and appraisals
• Assist with staff rotas, recruitment, and training
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and CQC standards
• Promote a positive, person-centred culture within the home
• Liaise with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
• Step in as Acting Manager in the Home Manager’s absence

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a residential care home is essential
• Experience in a Senior or Team Leader position within adult social care
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (working towards Level 5 desirable)
• Strong leadership and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A compassionate and professional approach to care
