You''ll play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children aged 5-12 years, helping them build confidence, develop meaningful relationships and prepare for long-term family placements. What You''ll Do As a Residential Childcare Worker, you''ll: Build positive, trusting relationships with children. Provide therapeutic, child-centred care in a safe home environment. Support children with daily routines, education and social development. Encourage positive behaviour through consistent boundaries. Work alongside therapists, social workers, schools and other professionals. Safeguard children and promote their wellbeing at all times. Help children develop independence, confidence and life skills. Participate in fun activities, holidays and outings. Contribute to care planning and individual therapeutic support.
