Role: Child Care Worker
Location of role: Freshfield, Formby, Merseyside
Rate of Pay: £25,905 - £28,410 per year, or the pro rata amount for part time hours
Role Description:
We are looking to recruit an experienced Child Care Worker with relevant residential expertise, to join our existing team. The Willows supports Children and Young People who have emotional, behavioural and Social Difficulties.
The Willows is a warm, welcoming and safe family environment, where dedicated, experienced qualified staff provide the best care for children and young people of all ages and abilities, who have been assessed as needing the positive experiences and therapy that a residential setting can provide.
We care for children and young people who have been adversely affected by circumstance and are emotionally vulnerable and sometimes challenging. Our practice is underpinned by a clear therapeutic ethos and values. Our family sized properties offer a welcoming and homely environment.
You will be work closely with the Registered Manager, Team Leaders and Senior Child Care Workers in the running of the unit, assisting in development and implementation of bespoke care plans for the children and young people in our care.
Experience & Skills:
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) OR willingness to undertake.
- Experience supporting children or young people who may perceive behaviours which are challenging in a similar setting is desirable but no essential.
- Ability to recognise and set limits of behaviour and provide controls to emotionally behaviourally disturbed children.
- Experience in supporting children, by listening to them being compassionate and positive.
Hours of work: Shifts of 19.5 or 39 hours per week, it's a 24/7 rota which will include early shifts, late shifts and night working.
