Resident Services Officer

We are currently recruiting for a Resident Services Officer (Income Officer) on behalf of our public sector client based in East London.Duration: 3 - 6 months initially, with view for extension thereafterLocation: Newham, hybrid working available Hourly Rate: 22.64 per hour PAYE or 29.55 per hour Umbrella Key Duties:To carry out a range of duties as directed within Resident Services, to the Boroughs housing residents, irrespective of tenure. With a strong focus on income collection maximisation and client relations, officers will provide excellent services to customersTo provide an effective income recovery service that maximises income collection and debt recovery whilst providing a customer focussed service for residents in a range of housing provided by the council including leasehold, permanent and temporary accommodationTo be responsible for enforcing the terms of tenancy or lease, and co-ordinate enforcement through to court action, primarily on rent recovery or service charge arrears, but also for breaches of lease and tenancy conditions and other grounds as appropriateUndertaking hub duties, attending court hearings, and carrying out home visits and evictionsTo maximise all revenue streams to improve income collection rates and minimise the levels of debt to the council. To monitor rent arrears cases and ensure that prompt action is taken, including liaison with revenues and benefits, mortgage lenders and instigating legal proceedingsTo actively promote to residents ..... full job details .....
