Resettlement Worker
About the role: A safe place to stay can be the first step. The right support to move forward is what turns it into lasting change. Gray''s Inn Road is a 16-bed short-stay accommodation service supporting people with a recent history of rough sleeping to stabilise, rebuild confidence and move towards a home of their own. Working at the heart of Camden''s response to homelessness, the service aims to ensure that rough sleeping is rare, brief and non-recurrent, with most residents moving into suitable longer-term accommodation within three to six months. As Resettlement Worker, you''ll take the lead on helping residents navigate that next step. You''ll build a clear picture of each person''s housing needs, strengths and aspirations, creating practical resettlement plans and identifying move-on options that are safe, realistic and sustainable. Working closely with Support Workers, you''ll help residents overcome barriers, prepare for independent living and feel confident about what comes next. You''ll develop strong relationships with housing providers, landlords and partner agencies, opening up opportunities across social housing, supported housing and the private rented sector. You''ll bring persistence, creativity and a strong understanding of housing pathways to make sure people are not simply moved on, but supported into accommodation where they have the best possible chance of thriving. At Single Homeless Project (SHP), we''re serious about investing in our people. ..... full job details .....
