Resettlement Officer

Resettlement Officer Ashford Temporary Full Time Are you passionate about supporting refugees and helping individuals integrate into their communities? We are seeking a dedicated Resettlement Officer to deliver person-centred resettlement programmes, enabling refugees and resettled individuals to thrive in the local area. THE ROLE As a Resettlement Officer, you will work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to support individuals and families through government resettlement schemes. Key responsibilities include:Delivering holistic support plans to help individuals live independently and integrate into the communitySecuring suitable, affordable housing and liaising with landlords and housing providersConducting welfare checks and making safeguarding referrals where necessarySupporting access to services such as DWP, ESOL classes, education and healthcarePromoting community cohesion and working closely with local organisations and volunteer groupsManaging data in line with GDPR and responding to FOI requestsAttending partner agency meetings and emergency call-outs when requiredTHE CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a resettlement or housing role, ideally supporting vulnerable or migrant populations.
