OverviewResearch Scientist (Graduate–Mid Level) – Chemical Engineering, Aluminium Hydroxide, Green Hydrogen, Material Science. Primarily onsite in Aylesbury with flexible hybrid options.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the science team on new and existing cutting-edge research projects focused on Aluminium Hydroxide from clean hydrogen production.
Conduct hands-on laboratory experiments, analyze data, and report results.
Support projects related to Green Hydrogen, Filtration, and Sustainable Materials; contribute to innovation in energy, chemistry, and environmental science contexts.
Assist in scaling research to practical applications; interact with industry partners and participate in occasional travel to other UK sites and occasional overseas conferences (1–2 per year).
Qualifications
PhD or Masters degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
Strong theoretical chemistry principles and experience with modern laboratory techniques and equipment (e.g., spectroscopy, X-ray methods, mechanical/chemical testing, electrical property measurements).
Experience in energy or chemical sectors is preferred; chemical engineering or material science background is a bonus.
Desirable Skills
Experience with Clean Hydrogen and Ammonia topics
Knowledge of Clean Energy technologies and RandD practices
Key Skills
Proven track record as a Scientist in the Energy, Chemical, or related sectors
Hands-on laboratory-based experience in chemical, materials, or energy research
Ability to commute to Aylesbury
Salary and Benefits£40,000 – £55,000 per year plus benefits (negotiable).
