Research and Development Associate

Research andamp; Development Associate (Agriculture) Rate - £13.68 (PAYE) Location - Bracknell Duration - 12 Months (Initially) The purpose of the Research Associate is to support Weed Control Research Biology on the SPS (Secondary Profiling Screen) platform by spraying and maintaining, plants in the glasshouse in order to deliver timely, quality data to herbicide research projects. The job holder will work in the Trialling Operations team within Technical Support - Weed Control and will be required to spray and maintain herbicide bioassays in the glasshouse, using established and novel weed screening methods producing biology data to enable project decisions. Please see below an outline of the position:Work independently and as part of a team while carrying out experimental work using established and novel screening methodsMaintain plants and experimental bays under glasshouse conditions, taking an active, hands-on role in daily upkeep and cleaning (including Bay clearing and plant disposal) to ensure optimal trial conditions.Be accountable for work being done with precision, accuracy and efficiencyPerform all activities in accordance with Safety, and Environmental PolicyWork efficiently in high-throughput team environmentIdentify issues, non-conformities and report themAccurately keep records and databases currentCan be involved in training of daily tasksGood work ethic and works consistently in performing roleProactive in identifying problems and assists in solving ..... full job details .....
