Water Utility Company based in Yorkshire region of England.
Responsibilities
Accountable for all responses to enquiries on mains infrastructure facilitating new development and growth across the region while protecting Yorkshire Water assets and future network performance.
Provide support on large scale and complex new developments to ensure customer needs are met while protecting Yorkshire Water interests and assets.
Coach, provide technical support, and advise colleagues to ensure new assets are designed and constructed to appropriate standards and existing assets are not adversely impacted by new development activity.
Attend and contribute to external meetings with key stakeholders, including formal meetings with Developers, SLPs and NAVs to represent Yorkshire Water views and requirements.
Embed a continuous improvement culture through Performance Excellence, aligned to Yorkshire Water Purpose and Customer Experience Strategy.
Lead daily performance conversations with colleagues to track key metrics for safety, operational performance and wellbeing, aiming for upper quartile D-MeX performance.
Undertake daily analysis of performance to support day-to-day management of the new mains infrastructure team and respond to fluctuating workloads.
Conduct quality audits to ensure regulatory compliance and drive future improvements.
Manage escalated internal and external enquiries to provide a seamless, efficient service to customers.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideally degree-qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or Environmental disciplines.
Understanding of clean water networks and their operation through the water cycle.
Experience and knowledge of water mains design and construction.
Strong people management with proven experience of leading large teams.
Excellent leadership, influencing, negotiating and communication skills (written and oral).
Ability to deliver and embed change to drive performance and positive culture.
Ability to operate in a highly regulated environment; customer service and business performance focus.
Experience in resource planning; Project Management or Contract Management experience and/or related qualifications are desirable.
Knowledge of Water Industry Act, Town and Country Planning Act and related legislation is advantageous.
Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement experience is beneficial.

Salary from £45,067 – £56,333 per annum, depending on experience
