Repairs Surveyor

JOB DESCRIPTIONAbout the roleOur Repairs and Maintenance teams play an important role in delivering our vision of providing great homes and great service. They offer vital support, ensuring that our homes are safe, warm, and dry, and where everything works; Places where our residents are proud to live.We are looking for a Repairs Surveyor to join our team covering locations in Essex. This is a full time, permanent role offering agile working.The overall purpose of the role is to carry out surveys and property inspections, oversee the delivery of subcontracted repairs and ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Guinness standards and timeframes. Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm. Occasional Saturday working (8:00am to 12:00pm) on a rota basis, with no more than 1 in 4 weekends required. What we are looking forWe are seeking someone with strong technical knowledge of building standards, experience in HHSRS assessments, and an understanding of responsive, voids and planned repairs. You will be confident managing contractors, working independently, delivering excellent customer service, and communicating clearly.You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:Excellent level of knowledge of building construction standards, and legislation, and an ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defects.Experience of undertaking assessments in line with the Housing Health ..... full job details .....
