Repairs Surveyor

JOB DESCRIPTIONAbout the role Our Repairs and Maintenance teams play an important role in delivering our vision of providing great homes and great service. They offer vital support, ensuring that our homes are safe, warm, and dry, and where everything works; Places where our residents are proud to live. We are looking for a Repairs Surveyor to join our team covering our locations in Essex. This is a full time, 39 hours per week, permanent role. The overall purpose of the role is to carry out surveys and property inspections, oversee the delivery of subcontracted repairs and ensure repairs are highlighted and completed in accordance with Guinness standards and timeframes. What we are looking for We re seeking someone with strong technical knowledge of building standards, experience in HHSRS assessments, and a solid grasp of responsive, voids and planned repairs. You ll be confident managing contractors, working independently, delivering excellent customer service, and communicating clearly. You will be able to demonstrate Essential: Excellent level of knowledge of building construction standards, and legislation, and an ability to diagnose and specify remedies to building defects. Experience of undertaking assessments in line with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System. Understanding of responsive repairs, voids works, planned and cyclical repairs requirements.
