We''re recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded social housing provider in Essex, seeking an experienced and proactive Repairs Supervisor to lead a team of operatives delivering day-to-day responsive repairs and maintenance works across their housing stock.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering up to -43,000 per annum, ideal for someone with a strong background in housing maintenance, a good understanding of Schedule of Rates (SORs), and proven experience in managing operatives in the field.

You''ll be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and compliance with health & safety standards - all while keeping jobs on time and within budget.

• Supervise a team of directly employed operatives and/or subcontractors delivering responsive repairs, voids, and minor works

• Monitor productivity, quality of work, and adherence to job specifications and timescales

• Schedule and allocate jobs effectively using the organisation''s job management systems

• Carry out regular site visits, tool box talks, and quality inspections

• Ensure all works are accurately scoped, costed, and coded using SORs

• Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly and professionally

• Maintain accurate records of works completed, variations, and health & safety documentation

• Support performance monitoring, reporting KPIs and ensuring continuous improvement

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and high standards within your team

• Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor, Voids Supervisor, or similar role within social housing or property maintenance

• Solid understanding of responsive repairs and voids processes

• Ability to manage, motivate, and develop trade operatives and ensure high levels of performance

• Strong knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SORs) and job costing

• Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Confident in using IT systems including mobile working technology and job management platforms

• A valid NVQ Level 3 (or above) in Construction Management - essential

• Full UK driving licence

• Salary up to -43,000 per annum
