Rent Officer - Durham

RG Setsquare are working in partnership with a leading Social Housing organisation based in Durham who are looking for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Rent Officer working in the Customer Accounts Team. You will be working with a team of talented individuals that deliver the income management service to their customers.

Your new role as Rent Officer:

As the Rent Officer you will deliver a holistic income management service to maximise the organisations rental income and sustain customers'' tenancies. Engaging with customers from the outset of their tenancy, you will identify and negotiate effective payment solutions with customers across a designated patch.


The Experience & Qualifications Required:

We are looking for a good communicator with a strong track record in delivering income management services. You will work collaboratively, well under pressure and have comprehensive knowledge of rent arrears recovery practices and legislation. The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of housing benefit and universal credit claims, assisting customers with their completion and providing basic welfare benefit and money advice to customers.
