Renewables Project Controller

The CompanyA growing international renewable energy and engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Project Controller to join its UK operation. The business delivers complex solar and infrastructure projects and offers a collaborative, project-focused environment where finance, operations and technology work closely together. The RoleThe Project Controller will provide financial and commercial support to project managers and senior business leaders. You will monitor project costs, analyse performance against budgets and forecasts, and provide clear financial information to support business decisions. In addition to project controlling, you will act as a key user of the company''s ERP and reporting platforms, helping colleagues use the systems effectively and contributing to process and systems improvements. Key Responsibilities Monitor the financial performance of projects and business units. Review actual expenditure against budgets and identify cost variances. Investigate financial deviations and communicate findings to project managers. Prepare monthly project forecasts, performance reports and relevant KPIs. Produce ad-hoc financial analysis to support operational and management decisions. Prepare documentation for forecast reviews and participate in review meetings. Maintain accurate project and financial information within the ERP system. Support users with system queries, troubleshooting and issue resolution.
