REMOTE Python Software/Data Engineer — Up to £160,000 Base (+ Bonus). Location: REMOTE.Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python to support data ingestion, transformation, and visualization pipelines critical to quant research and trading strategies.Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and enhance the trading platform’s functionality and performance.Focus on improving system performance and ensuring high availability of trading systems, with an emphasis on efficient Python coding practices.Develop tools for the research team, with a focus on adopting new technologies including AI/ML methods.Key Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or STEM-based subjects.4+ years of experience in a relevant role such as Python Software Engineer or Data Engineer.Proficiency in modern software development practices, including version control and agile development methodologies.Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.Demonstrated enthusiasm for ongoing learning and a proactive attitude towards adopting new technologies.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, adaptable, and high-pressure environment, delivering results efficiently.Access to state-of-the-art technologies and the opportunity to work with advanced tools and frameworks.Benefits and Environment
